Setting the Background Image

Did you know you can add a background image to your community?
For all of these tasks you will first need to:
  1. Login to your Community Builder admin account.
  2. Click the (Patron Site Configuration Options) button in the lower right quadrant.
  3. Click the (Select a Background Image) button.
To select a pre-loaded background image:
  1. Choose an image type from the drop down list (Select a Background Image Type:) The image choices will change.
  2. Place a check mark next to the image you want.
  3. Click the (Set Selected Image as Background) button.
To select your own background image:
  1. Click the (Your Background Images) button.
    If you have not yet uploaded any background images the table will be empty.
    However, if you have uploaded one or more background images they should appear in the table.
To add your own background image:
  1. Click the (New Background Image) button.
  2. Enter a name for the image. This can be any name you choose.
  3. Click the Choose FIle button to open your file explorer and navigate to the file you want, select it and click the Open button.
  4. Click the (Create New Background Image) button.
    NOTE: This will created the database record for the image but you still must upload the file to the server.
  5. Click the (Upload Background Images) button.
  6. Click the (Upload Background Image) button.
  7. Click Choose Files, select your file(s), and click (Upload Files).
  8. Click Finished.
  9. Click the (Your Background Images) button.
  10. You new background image should appear as a selection in the table.
  11. Check the box next to your background image and Click the (Set Selected Image as Background) button.
  12. Refresh your community landing page to make sure the background image has been set.
To delete one of your background images:
  1. Check the box next to your background image and Click the (Delete Selected Background Image) button.
To get the background image to be "stretched":
  1. From the main configuration admin panel click the (Patron Site Configuration Options) button.
  2. Click the (Patron Account Config. Options) button.
  3. Click the (Background Image CSS) tab.
  4. Copy and paste one of the CSS into the Background Image CSS: text area.
  5. Click the (Save Site Options) button.
  6. Refresh your community landing page to make sure the background image has been set to be stretched as set by the CSS.
